Are you interested in rocks, minerals, fossils, travel, earthquakes, volcanoes, or any other Earth phenomena? There is a group of kindred souls here at Modesto Junior College. The Geology Club was established in 1993 by MJC students interested in sharing their interest in geology and earth science, and in serving the students of MJC by raising funds for scholarships, and working as sponsors and judges in community events like Wild Planet Day and the Science Olympiad.
The club meets every Thursday at 12 noon (bring lunch if you wish!) in the Geology Lab at the Science Community Center (Room 326) on west campus. We organize field trips, fundraisers, and service projects. We welcome anyone who has an interest in our planet.
